Magna Carta Phase 2

The Client

Our lovely clients at Magna Carta invited us back to further renovate some rooms in their house, this consisted of the guest bedroom and family bathroom on the first floor and the guest WC, Girls playroom, and home office on the ground floor.
As previously the clients were happy to inject plenty of colour and vibrancy into these rooms.

Design Requirements

The specification for the guest bedroom was ‘The Hamptons’ a seaside, based off Long Island in the United States. This bedroom was already established as this and I took the scheme forward and fully developed it.

The home office did come with a few design requirements, such as a server cabinet, moveable desk, plenty of storage, and the 3D printer. Which I am happy to say were all effortlessly incorporated into the final design. We also designed and installed a lowered ceiling here for more ambient lighting for the client. As I am loath to remove any period features to a property, the original cornice has been hidden by the new ceiling, but it is completely intact should it required to be re-instated in the future.

Design Touches

The family bathroom apart from being completed water proof needed to provide plenty of storage for the teenage daughters, and it was my pleasure to incorporate a touch of luxury here in the form of the mother of pearl details to the bathroom ironmongery.

This family are very generous in giving me free license in their home with the design schemes, and the guest WC was no exception. We went very bold indeed and the floral wallpaper has well and truly paid off as the finished article is absolutely striking. The glimpse you get from the hallway leaves you wanting to explore further.
