The Client
Our clients are a pet loving family of 3, with a growing young son. They have a love for tranquil blue and green colours, and a particular affinity for patterned wallpapers. Their primary goal was to transform their home to better suit their evolving needs.
Design Requirements
To accommodate their needs, we incorporated two home offices, as the clients predominantly work from home now. The ground floor was reimagined and reconfigured to feature a new open-plan kitchen, dining area, snug, and pantry, along with a guest WC and utility room. The sitting room and home office at the front of the house remained in place and were decorated.
One of the design requirements from the client was to ensure that the newly opened up back of the house was filled with as much natural light as possible throughout the day.
On the first floor, the master bedroom was reconfigured to include a new en-suite and dressing area, providing enhanced comfort and style to the master suite. The Guest bedroom was upgraded with panelling, patterned wall paper and period features were re-installed. With similar treatment to the sons bedroom and second guest bedroom.
Design Touches
A full re-decoration was carried out throughout the house, with a thoughtful incorporation of the clients’ favourite colours, blues and greens. Patterned and textured wallpapers were installed in the master bedroom, guest bedroom, sitting room, and guest WC, adding detail and character to each space.
We collaborated closely with the clients on the kitchen design to create a bespoke kitchen tailored to their needs. As well as a fully bespoke laundry room and Guest WC next door. Bi-fold doors were installed at the back of the house to let in as much light as possible and to open up the view of their well established garden.
Additionally, new underfloor heating was installed underneath the patterned Victorian floor tiles that extend from the entrance hall through the house and also carried into the guest WC, and utility room, creating a harmonious flow of floor treatments.
